Puppets and stuffed animals are fun and creative! They let us pretend to be someone or something else: a lamb or a butterfly or maybe a pretend playmate. They invite us to speak in voices that are not our own - to create or retell stories about other times and other places. They invite us to speak our own voices through another - to share ideas and emotions that we may not be comfortable expressing.
When we select the puppets to include in our catalog, we consider whether the presentation is respectful to that animal or person. So you won't find the sort of "funny" animal puppets or characture human puppets that are available elsewhere. But you can know that we've chosen carefully. |
